I’m a big fan of the San Francisco urban landscape artist Jeremy Mann — paintings with a gritty and impressionist approach to light and form. Pretty much every deck I do for a movie or TV pitch has one of his works in there somewhere. The noir-ish sense of perpetual rain feels especially appropriate for the Bay area right now.
He’s also got a beautiful touch for rural and coastal landscapes, and figures, and puts out an occasional newsletter with fascinating insights into the creative process of an artist.
Incredible. Thank you
The City, so many interesting places. Used to run my camera battery down to empty. The facades, lovely.
