Sure, a bit of emotional devastation is the best way to start a Monday morning. ;-)
But in seriousness--yes, it was a beautiful, achingly sad story. I've been reading your novels this summer, and you really do paint guilt, regret, and grief with a subtle brush that's just hit me perfectly, even if I've cried a few times.
I don't suppose there's a sequel where the poor vampire gets a happyish ending?
I absolutely loved this. Yet again, you’ve created such a vivid memorable world in just a short story. It made me feel nostalgic for London, so now I’m just a little homesick too.
I have to space out reading your stores for fear of running out. Luckily they stick in my head for a long time after. Thank you
Thank you so much — really glad you enjoyed it. And it's funny, when I was prepping the story for posting, it made me feel very nostalgic for London too...
Thank you...
This one had me in tears.
I hope in a good, or at least worthwhile, way ;-)
