It's a convoluted story but his wife and mistress accompanied him to Polzeath where they all stayed at the Atlantic Hotel! There was something of a scandal at the time!
Having spent most of my adult life working in aged care I’m regarding myself as a bit of an expert. 😜 One thing that has escaped my so called expertise though is (the fact/problem) that I can’t spontaneously recall the age of my 2 adult children. My octogenarian mother has the same problem. The kids wonder how it’s possible as I gave birth to them. Although I remember vividly every painful minute of said event, I have to count backwards to the year. Very strange. 🙄
It's funny what facts stick in certain brains, and which won't. My wife knows there's no point talking to me about dates, for example: even if it's only a couple of weeks away, I need "the Wednesday after next" rather than a number... numbers are pretty abstract when you get down to it, after "One, two, a few, many..."
I've given it consideration a couple of times in recent years, but am still curiously resistant to reading this one!
I think you'd find it very interesting...
Apropos of nothing, Carl Jung had a brief tryst here in Polzeath! It's a bit of history I'm amazed doesn't get mentioned more in our local blurb!
You're making this up aren't you Gareth.

Who'd a thunk it😋
Thanks for the recommendation. Looking forward.

I’m with you on the numbers.. “give the patient 5ml of this medicine” means around about a spoon full 😉
