Almost perfect best friend definition. For me, an additional vital check is that they’re the person who will message me endlessly but will never pick up the phone to call me on spec because they know that I won’t ever accept the call.
GOD yes. That's a good addition. "If you'd like to talk, send me a message, and I'll call you back... at some point, definitely". DON'T just randomly call me!
Oh hell yes the cat thing. I frequently tell myself I need to be more cat.
And the theatre image is so evocative…… of all our faculties, I think the human ability to envision or imagine is one of our superpowers. I like to think cats (and other animals) have it too….
I definitely think they do. My son pointed something smart about cats that I'd never realized in 30 years with them. Sometimes ours, when you reach down to stroke them, run away. But it's not to avoid the stroking, rather to take you to the place where they'd like to like down and be stroked. That's envisioning...
It made it in AI, I'm afraid... I'm doing a project which involves the lost rivers of London, and that's supposed to be a representation of the River Fleet.
I think that's true about best friends, and it pretty neatly encapsulates how you can be considered the best friend of someone who you don't consider to be *your* best friend, or vice versa.
Now I think on it, while I didn't know it at the time, all my closest hometown friends downgraded themselves from best friend status the day that I told them that I was moving abroad, and not a one of them reacted in a genuinely positive way... they were of course completely entitled to their misgivings about my departure and adventure, but all of those relationships kind of slipped to varying degrees from that day forward.
Speaking of transitions, your header picture is giving off SERIOUS Six of Swords tarot card vibes!
Weird, I was listening to a pitch about Tarot just yesterday...
And yes, it's funny, the reaction of friends to that kind of news... though luckily one of mine who was very damning about the idea has now been to visit three times.
This is one of your warmest recollections. Cats never worry - and language never fails them, though humans regularly do. They know when the scenery has finished shifting their food will be in their tray. OR ELSE. You are one of the most fortunate beings on this planet: you never need to check who your best friend is, she's right there. And you may have read about stiff corporate one-on-one dinners but you will NEVER attend one.
Cats doubtless talk among themselves but only need to convey 3 things to humans B|
1/ hello
2/ feed me
3/ go away
Those are the main messages, certainly ;-)

Love that tunnel photo. where was it taken?

The shoes get kicked off while at the same time the bra takes a journey one strap at a time through the sleeves, unhooked and through the top.. bliss.
It sounds it. Those things don't look super-comfortable.

You are correct about all of the above, but most certainly the one about my best friend... and how lucky is that?
